Program Overview:
The goal of this program is to provide a fun place to learn and develop friendships. The children are encouraged to express themselves through play, art work, and to experience how fun learning can be. Science units, hands-on-math games, language experiences, reading readiness, and the letter of the week are incorporated into a full schedule of daily events.
Large motor skills are introduced daily. The children also develop strong listening and cooperation skills while following directions and playing games during this time. Fine motor skills are practiced daily during center time.
Our Bible program is based on learning good character traits such as leadership, honesty, kindness, orderliness, sharing, and patience. The children learn about God’s incredible love through stories, verses, and puppet shows.
Computer skills are taught to the children twice per week. While music is part of our daily routine, the children participate in special music lessons twice per week when the music teacher visits each classroom to sing with the children, and to play with different instruments and rhythm games. The children typically participate in five field trips, and enjoy many visits from community helpers throughout the year.
